What can I encode on it?

Use it for a short URL, basic contact card, app/deep link, or simple text. For long vCards or long URLs, choose a higher-memory chip and test first.

Writable NFC chips can usually be rewritten until locked. Locking is optional and permanent. Typical chip endurance is 100k write cycles; data retention is listed as 10-year data retention.

How should I test before ordering bulk?

Write one sample with the final data, test it on the final surface, and check at least one Android phone and one iPhone before rollout.

What phones work with NFC tags?

Most modern smartphones support NFC. iPhones (7 and later) and most Android phones can read NFC tags without any app.

What is the read range?

Typical read range is 1–5 cm depending on the tag type and phone. Place your phone directly on the tag for best results.
