What phones work with NFC tags?

Check the exact phone model. iPhone XS and later support background tag reading; iPhone 7, 8, and X use an NFC reader app. Android NFC support varies by model and region. Contactless-payment support alone is not a verified compatibility test.

What is the read range?

Typical read range is 1–5 cm depending on the tag type and phone. Place your phone directly on the tag for best results.
